Cradle Mountain is a national park in Tasmania that stands out due to it’s exceptional natural beauty and can be visited all year around.

You will need to park your car, get a pass for the national park and take the shuttle bus to the start of all the different hikes.

We highly recommend to hike up to Marion’s Lookout Link Track first, then continue on the Overland Track, the Wombat Pool Track, the Lake Lilla Track and finish your hike at Ronny’s Creek.

PICKING TIP

  • Pack a raincoat and warm clothes as the weather can change quickly.
  • End your hiking day with visiting Ronny’s Creek boardwalk in the late afternoon and you will highly be likely to see a great amount of wombats feeding on the grass next to the boardwalk.
  • Stay at this affordable secret remote cabin in the woods with an outdoor wood-fire bathtub under the Tasmanian sky.
