The Komodo National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a renowned conservation area located in Indonesia. It is Indonesia's crown jewel of national parks and one the ultimate highlights of the whole country.

The national park is consisting of a group of islands. The main ones being Komodo, Rinca, Padar, and several smaller islands. It is famous for being the natural habitat of the Komodo dragon, the world's largest lizard and a symbol of the park.

  • Getting around: Usually you will explore Komodo national park with an organized multi-day boat tour. These tours can be shared (less expensive, group travel) or private (charter your own boat with your friends or family). 
  • How many days? Depending on your budget and time a boat tour can last from 1 to several nights. The classic tour is 2 nights long.
  • Start location: typically start at Labuan Bajo on the island of Flores
  • End location: Labuan Bajo
